Terms of service
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you subscribe to a Streetfront website plan or buy any of our other services, including add-ons, Site Care and Google Ads or Meta setup. Streetfront is a registered business name (ABN 71 463 939 713) ("we", "us"). "You" means the business that subscribes. You accept these terms when you tick the box agreeing to them on our checkout page and pay your first subscription payment. Please read them with our Websites page and privacy policy.
"Business day" means Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Victoria.
2. Plans and what's included
We offer three plans. The current details are on our Websites page. In summary:
| Essentials | Business | Business Plus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly fee | A$79 | A$159 | A$249 |
| Pages | Up to 3 | Up to 6 | Up to 10 |
| Change requests a month | 1 | 3 | 6 |
| Change turnaround | 3 business days | 2 business days | Next business day |
| Google Business Profile | Checklist | Check-up at setup and every 3 months | Google & AI visibility included (clause 21) |
| Review replies | None (add-on available) | Up to 5 drafts a month (add-on available) | Google & AI visibility included (clause 20) |
| Report | None | None | Monthly, by email |
| Business email help | None | Instructions | Set up for you |
Every plan includes: design and build of your website; hosting; https; backups; registration and renewal of one .com.au domain in your business's name while you're subscribed; a "Book now" button linking to your existing booking system (a link only, not an embedded booking widget); a contact form that sends to your email; a check of your wording against the advertising rules for your industry; and email support. We reply to messages within 1 business day.
Not included unless we agree in writing: paid advertising; ongoing search engine optimisation (SEO) campaigns; online shops or payment systems; logo design (except under Business Plus bespoke design, clause 26); writing health-claim or other specialist content; photography; and the booking system itself. Phone and video calls aren't part of the standard plans. Review replies on Business are drafts that you post yourself. Google & AI visibility (clauses 20 and 21) and Scam watch (clause 23) are optional add-ons. Business email accounts are paid by you directly to the provider.
You can move to a different plan by email. A move to a higher plan starts straight away; a move to a lower plan starts from your next billing date (see clause 4).
3. Getting started and going live
- After your first payment, you'll go straight to our questionnaire (we'll also email you the link). We start building once we have your answers and photos.
- We aim to have your site live about 7 business days after we receive complete content. Complete content means your questionnaire answers and photos. Approval of the preview is also needed before launch. This is an estimate only; the actual time may be longer.
- Before launch you'll receive a private preview link. Two rounds of revisions are included before launch.
- Your website goes live only after you approve the content in writing (an email saying you approve is enough).
- Pre-launch refund: if you're not happy with the design before launch and tell us in writing before you approve it, we'll refund your first payment in full (including any extra pages) and your subscription will end, with no further fees.
4. Fees, billing and GST
- You sign up and pay on our website using Stripe's secure checkout, by card. Fees are charged monthly in advance. Your first payment is taken when you sign up and covers your first month, including the build, plus any extra pages you choose at sign-up.
- There is no setup fee.
- GST: Streetfront is not registered for GST, so our prices include no GST. If we become registered, GST may be added on top of your price. This is a government tax, not a price rise, and your price itself does not change. We'll tell you at least one month before GST applies, and you can cancel free of any minimum term before it starts.
- We may change our fees by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. If you don't accept a fee increase, you may cancel before it takes effect, without paying any remaining minimum-term fees.
- Fees aren't refundable for months that have already started, except as set out in clause 3 (pre-launch refund), clause 14, or where the Australian Consumer Law requires.
- Changing plans and add-ons: if you move to a higher plan or add an add-on part-way through a month, it starts straight away and your next payment includes a part-month charge for the rest of that month (worked out by the day). When you upgrade, the unused part of your old plan, and of any add-ons your new plan includes, is credited against it, so you only pay the difference and are never charged twice for the same thing. A move to a lower plan starts from your next billing date; add-ons the new plan doesn't offer end then.
- Cancelling an add-on: it stays on until the end of the month you've already paid for, then stops. We don't refund the rest of a month already paid for a change of mind, and it isn't charged again. Your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply. The 3-month minimum applies to your plan only, not to add-ons.
- Extra work outside your plan is quoted by email as a flat price first. We'll only do it, and charge for it, after you agree in writing.
5. Minimum term and cancelling
- Every plan has a minimum term of 3 months from your first payment. After that, you can cancel anytime. The checkout page shows this minimum before you pay.
- We'll email you at least 14 days before your minimum term ends to remind you that your plan will then continue month to month until you cancel.
- You can cancel by emailing us. You don't need to give a notice period. If your email reaches us before your minimum term ends, your plan ends when the minimum term ends. After that, it ends at the end of the month you've already paid for. Either way, you won't be charged again, and there's no exit fee. We'll confirm the end date in writing.
- The 30 days' notice in clauses 4, 14 and 18 is notice we give you, and the 30 days in clause 19 is time you have to cancel. None of these is a notice period for you to cancel.
- To cancel, email us; you can't cancel through Stripe's billing page, so that we can confirm your dates in writing.
- If you cancel after your site has gone live but before the end of the minimum term, the fees for the rest of the minimum term remain payable. These cover the work of building your site.
- When your service ends, we'll do the handover described in clause 10.
6. Change requests
- A change request is a small edit to your existing site that takes about 15 minutes, for example updating hours, swapping a photo, updating fees or adding a team bio. One email can contain several small edits; we'll tell you if they add up to more than one request.
- Your plan includes 1, 3 or 6 change requests per monthly billing period. Unused requests don't roll over.
- Turnaround times (3 business days, 2 business days or next business day, depending on your plan) start from when we confirm we've received the request on a business day, and assume we have everything we need to make the change.
- Larger work, such as new sections, extra pages beyond your plan (see clause 22), or a redesign, isn't a change request. We'll quote it first.
- Urgent fixes for something we've broken, or for the site being down, don't count towards your change requests.
7. Your responsibilities (including advertising rules)
- You're responsible for the content you give us and approve, including that it's accurate, up to date and lawful, and that you have the right to use it (for example photos, logos and text).
- If you're a health practitioner: you're responsible for making sure your website complies with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, the advertising guidelines of the national health practitioner regulator and the relevant National Board, and any other rules that apply to your profession. Our wording checks (for health practitioners: no testimonials, no outcome claims, plain factual wording) are designed to help, but it isn't legal or regulatory advice, and you remain responsible for making sure your advertising complies with the rules that apply to you. You must review and approve all content before it's published.
- All businesses are responsible for complying with the Australian Consumer Law and other laws that apply to their advertising and their website (including having a privacy policy if required).
- You agree not to collect health or other sensitive information through the website forms we build. Use your own secure booking or client-management system for that.
- You're responsible for your own booking system, email accounts and other third-party services you use, and for keeping your access details secure.
- You'll respond to our questions within a reasonable time. Delays on your side may delay our work.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use, or ask us to publish on, your website anything that:
- is unlawful, misleading or deceptive, defamatory, discriminatory, or infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- contains malware, phishing, or anything designed to harm visitors or systems;
- promotes spam or the sale of personal information;
- is sexually explicit, or promotes violence, hatred or illegal activity; or
- breaches professional advertising rules that apply to you.
We may refuse to publish, or remove, content that we reasonably believe breaches this clause. Where practical we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to us ending the service under clause 14.
9. Domain names
- We register your .com.au domain in your business's name, using your ABN or business name, as the .au rules require. You're the registrant, and you must give us accurate details.
- While you're subscribed, we manage the domain on your behalf and pay the renewal fees for one domain.
- If you already have a domain, it stays with you. We'll ask you to point it at our hosting or give us limited access to do so.
- When your service ends, we'll give you what you need to move your domain (such as the transfer code) and help with the transfer by email. Renewals after that are your responsibility.
10. Ownership and handover
- You own your content (your text, photos, logo and business information) and your domain name.
- We own our pre-existing materials: our templates, design system, code libraries, build tools and know-how. As long as you've paid the fees due, we give you a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, copy and modify the files that make up your website for your business. This licence continues after your service ends.
- Handover on cancellation: we'll email you a downloadable export of your website as published within 10 business days after your service ends, or after any overdue fees are paid, whichever is later. That is the static site files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and other media, as a ZIP file, plus a short handover note explaining how to host them and how your domain is set up. We'll also provide domain transfer details under clause 9.
- The handover doesn't include: our general templates and build tools beyond what's in your site files; access to our hosting, form or other accounts; historical backups or analytics data; or third-party licensed items (such as licensed fonts or images) that require their own licence. We'll tell you if any of those apply to your site.
- Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, we may list your business name and a link to your website as an example of our work. We'll remove it if you ask.
11. Third-party services
Your website relies on third-party services such as our hosting provider, Stripe, domain registrars, your booking system and Google. Their own terms apply. We're not responsible for their outages, changes or decisions, except to the extent caused by our own failure to take reasonable care. This is subject to clause 15.
12. Availability
We use reliable hosting and take reasonable steps to keep your website online, secure and backed up. However, we can't promise that your website will always be available or error-free, for example during hosting outages, internet problems or maintenance. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If you notice a problem, email us with "URGENT" in the subject and we'll treat it as a priority.
13. Late payment and suspension
- If a payment fails, we'll email you, and Stripe may retry it automatically.
- If the payment is still outstanding 14 days after our email, we may suspend the service. This means pausing change requests and replacing your website with a simple holding page until the amount is paid. We'll warn you by email before suspending.
- If the amount is still unpaid 30 days after suspension, we may end the service under clause 14. Your domain remains yours.
14. When we can end the service
- We may end your service for any reason by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. In that case we'll refund any fees you've prepaid for the period after the service ends, the minimum-term fees won't apply, and we'll do the handover in clause 10.
- We may end your service immediately by email if you seriously breach these terms (including clause 8, acceptable use) and don't fix the breach within 7 days of us asking, or if the breach can't be fixed.
15. Consumer law and our liability
- Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't lawfully be excluded.
- Where the law allows us to limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
- Subject to the points above and to the extent the law allows: (a) we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, revenue, customers or data (except data loss caused by our failure to keep the backups described in clause 2); (b) we aren't liable for loss caused by your content, your instructions, or your failure to comply with laws or professional rules that apply to you; and (c) each party's total liability to the other in connection with the services is limited to the fees paid or payable in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, except for liability that can't be limited by law, or that arises from fraud, wilful misconduct or a breach of confidentiality or privacy.
- We can't promise any particular search ranking, number of enquiries or business results.
16. Privacy and confidentiality
We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy. We'll keep confidential any non-public information about your business that you give us, and use it only to provide our services, unless you agree otherwise or the law requires disclosure.
17. How we communicate
Support and change requests are handled by email to hello@streetfront.com.au. Notices under these terms are given by email: to you at the email address you gave us (or a new one you tell us about), and to us at hello@streetfront.com.au. An email is treated as received on the next business day after it's sent, unless the sender receives a delivery failure message.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email, explaining what changes. If you don't agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect without paying any remaining minimum-term fees. Changes don't apply to one-off work you've already paid for.
19. General
- These terms, our Websites page and any other service page you bought from, as at the date you subscribe, and any written quotes you accept make up the whole agreement between us.
- If any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- You may not transfer your subscription to someone else without our written agreement. We may transfer our rights and obligations to a business that takes over Streetfront, with notice to you by email. If we transfer, you may cancel within 30 days of our notice without paying any remaining minimum-term fees.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and both of us submit to the courts of Victoria.
20. Google & AI visibility add-on: review replies
If you add Google & AI visibility (A$79/month on Essentials, A$85/month on Business, included in Business Plus), we draft replies to your new Google reviews, up to 20 a month (extra approved replies are A$2 each, billed with the following month), and post a reply only after you approve it in writing. If you don't respond, nothing is posted. You give us Manager access to your Google Business Profile, and you keep ownership of it. We may decline to post a reply, including one you've written or edited, if we reasonably believe it would breach privacy law, professional advertising rules or Google's policies; we'll tell you why and suggest another version. We don't write, buy, solicit or remove reviews. When your add-on or service ends, we'll remove our access within 5 business days, and you can remove it yourself at any time. Replies already posted stay on your profile unless you delete them. The add-on is billed monthly, has no minimum term, and you can cancel it anytime by email, with no notice period; it stays on until the end of the month you've paid for. Cancelling the add-on doesn't affect your base plan's minimum term.
21. Google & AI visibility add-on: profile updates and monthly report
As part of Google & AI visibility, we check and update your Google Business Profile each month and draft one Google post a month. We only make changes, upload photos or publish posts after you approve them in writing, and we change your business name, address or main category only on your written instruction, because Google may ask you to verify again. We upload up to 4 new photos a month. You're responsible for confirming that information is accurate and that you have consent for any photo showing a person, and we won't upload a photo showing an identifiable customer or client unless you confirm you have their written consent. You give us Manager access, and you keep ownership of your profile. We may decline to post content that we reasonably believe breaches Google's policies or professional advertising rules. Google reviews edits and may delay or reject them, which we don't control. When the add-on or your service ends, we'll remove our access within 5 business days, and you can remove it yourself at any time. Each month we also check whether Google and AI assistants (like ChatGPT) mention you, and send you a one-page report. AI answers change from day to day; each report is a snapshot of the questions we ran, not a ranking or a prediction of future results. We don't scan the dark web, monitor Facebook/Instagram, or take sites down for you. The add-on price is A$79/month on Essentials, A$85/month on Business, included in Business Plus. Clause 20 covers billing and cancelling the add-on.
22. Extra pages (one-off)
'One-off' means you pay A$149 once per page; it isn't added to your monthly fee. New pages within your plan's page limit are included in your plan, even after launch. An extra page beyond that limit costs A$149, up to 2 extra pages per site on top of your plan's included pages (3 on Essentials, 6 on Business, 10 on Business Plus; clause 27). The 2-extra-page limit applies on every plan, including Business Plus. If you need more pages than that, contact us and we'll quote it as separate work. Extra pages chosen at sign-up are paid in your first payment. Extra pages added later are invoiced before we start work. If you take the pre-launch refund, extra pages paid at sign-up are refunded too. It includes one page of up to about 400 words, up to 3 of your photos, a link from your site, and 2 rounds of revisions. Further changes before launch are quoted first. We check the wording against professional advertising rules, and the page goes live only after you approve it in writing. You confirm that any content and images you supply are yours or properly licensed. After launch, the page is part of your website: edits use your plan's change requests, and it's hosted only while your subscription is active, with no further charge. It stays if you change plans; the fee isn't refunded if you move to a plan whose limit would have covered it. If your service ends, the page is included in the site files we hand over under clause 10, and we won't charge for it again. Extra pages aren't refunded when you cancel after launch (your ACL rights still apply).
On Business Plus, clause 27 also applies. Extra revision rounds are covered by clause 28.
23. Scam watch add-on
If you add Scam watch (A$19/month on Essentials, A$22/month on Business, included in Business Plus): Every month we look for fake websites, lookalike web addresses and listings using your name. We help you check your SMS sender name, and give you ready-to-send Scamwatch and ASIC report templates. We don't scan the dark web, monitor Facebook/Instagram, or take sites down for you. The add-on is billed monthly: no minimum term, cancel anytime with no notice period. Cancelling it doesn't affect your base plan's minimum term.
24. [Retired 23 October 2026: no longer offered.]
This clause covered an add-on we no longer offer. We have kept the number so the other clause numbers stay the same.
25. [Retired 23 October 2026: no longer offered.]
This clause covered an add-on we no longer offer. We have kept the number so the other clause numbers stay the same.
26. Business Plus bespoke design
Business Plus includes bespoke design. Logo: we create 10 starting logo options, then make up to 2 rounds of changes to the one you choose. Other custom artwork: up to 2 requests a month, each with up to 2 rounds of changes. Unused requests don't roll over to the next month. We aim to deliver each request in about 5 business days. You own your logo once it has been paid for, and custom artwork we make for you stays yours if you leave. Bespoke design isn't part of Essentials or Business.
27. Business Plus pages
Business Plus includes up to 10 pages in total (not per month). You can add up to 2 extra pages on Business Plus under clause 22. If you move from Business Plus to Essentials or Business, the move starts from your next billing date (clause 4). From then on you lose all Business Plus benefits and are a normal customer of the lower plan, with only that plan's included pages and features. The Business Plus benefits you lose include the 10 included pages, new bespoke design work and the add-ons included in Business Plus (you can add those add-ons to the lower plan at its normal price). Your current design stays on your site, but we won't do any new bespoke design work unless you move back to Business Plus. Except as set out below, nothing carries over. Before the move takes effect, we'll email you a list of your pages and ask you to tell us in writing, within 10 business days, which pages to keep within the new plan's page limit. If you don't tell us in time, we'll keep your home page and your most recently updated pages up to that limit. We'll take any other pages offline and keep them for 60 days. During that time you can swap pages, buy them as extra pages under clause 22, or move back to Business Plus to restore them. After 60 days, we'll delete them. Extra pages you paid for under clause 22 stay live and sit on top of the new plan's page limit. You keep ownership of your logo and custom artwork under clause 26, and we'll email you the final files on request.
28. Extra revision rounds
On any plan, if you'd like more changes than the rounds already included (2 rounds before launch, and 2 per extra or new page), an extra revision round costs A$49 (no GST charged). A round is one combined list of changes, sent in one email. We confirm the price in writing and invoice it before we start. Small edits after launch use your plan's change requests instead.
29. Google Ads and Meta setup (one-off)
- Ads setup refunds: Full refund if you cancel before we start the build. Once your ads setup is delivered, we don't refund for a change of mind, but we'll fix anything that isn't right for free for 14 days. If we can't make it work within those 14 days, you get a full refund. Ad spend you pay to Google or Meta is billed by them and isn't part of our refund. Our services also come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure, you can cancel and get a refund, or get compensation for the drop in value. For other failures, we'll fix it within a reasonable time, and if we don't, you can get someone else to fix it and have us pay the reasonable cost, or cancel and get a refund. You may also be entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. These rights still apply after the 14 days.
